Every person has the capacity for growth and change, although it may be difficult for us to do so on our own. We often aim to continue doing what makes us feel better in the short-term without examining the long-term effects, which leads us to feel stuck. Therapy is a space to build a relationship in which you feel understood, supported, and free from judgment. I want to learn about what is important to you and assist you in moving towards a meaningful life with your values in mind. Together, we will work on identifying and drawing from your strengths and resources, which will assist you in coping with life’s difficulties. You will learn to remove obstacles towards growth and strengthen your ability to overcome challenges by contacting the present moment, identifying unhealthy patterns of thinking, and managing overwhelming emotions. My goal is to understand what has been keeping you stuck and determine what needs to happen in order for you to begin moving toward the life want.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over five years of experience, including as an inpatient therapist at an acute psychiatric hospital. My passion is connecting with people through their life stories, and my approach is strengths-oriented and collaborative. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults; however, I see clients of all ages for issues related to depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidality, self-esteem, sexual orientation, gender identity, trauma, and grief. Please do not hesitate to reach out for a consultation.
