I am a proud Aggie alum, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Texas A&M University in 2015. Shortly after in 2018 I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical & Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University.
Helping and serving others has always been a passion of mine. I believe that therapy begins when trust is built between the client and the counselor. My goals are to provide a safe environment for my clients as well as promote trust and understanding. I believe in the importance of meeting my clients where they are, being a listening ear, and helping guide/direct my clients in the goals they wish to pursue in their life that will ultimately meet their needs and help them live happier, more fulfilling lives. I like to use the client centered and cognitive behavioral approach with my clients.
I prefer working with clients 12 years and older. I have three years experience previously working in the psychiatric hospital setting as well as with clients experiencing life changes/adjustment, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, negative self-talk, loss, suicidality, and self esteem issues.
Kaitlin primarily sees clients in our Huntsville office.
