I am a Licensed Professional Counselor – Intern and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, supervised by Shelley Zavodny, LMFT-S, LPC. I began my internship in January 2017 and am currently working on completing my licenses.
I have always felt the desire to help others. I find people interesting, and I love to learn about difficult cultures and lifestyles. Counseling keeps me engaged, and it never gets boring. I am easy-going and flexible with my patients, and I strive to develop a healthy therapeutic relationship and honesty with each of my clients. My sessions are client-centered: I allow my clients to discuss what they need to express during each session, and I encourage them to define what they want to work on.
My major focus areas are martial problems, trauma, life changes and depression. I feel that I work best with adults and adolescents. I may be a young therapist, but I can offer a new perspective and I am very motivated to help others the best that I can.
