I am an LPC-A who is compassionate about helping others lead a peaceful and fulfilling life. I am here to help you cope with and manage your anxiety, depression, sadness, and anger
My counseling theory is based on guiding you to make changes on your journey to a more fulfilling life. You are the expert on your story and how you want to change your life. I believe that our thoughts can affect how we react to life’s situations. Therefore, we will work together as a team to explore your thoughts and reactions and then focus on a solution to change the areas in your life that you want to change. I believe in using a multi-modal approach because everyone is different. I have experience in CBT.DBT, person-centered and solution-focused therapies. The process will be determined by your needs and what works best for you to achieve your desired goals.
I have been a nurse for over 40 years spending 12 years in the mental health field .I decided to pursue a career as a Licensed Professional Counselor when I realized I wanted to help those living with mental health issues more directly. I attended Mid American Christian University first pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology and continue my journey until I received my Master’s in Science degree with a Clinical Mental Health Emphasis. I have a special interest in helping those dealing with trauma and caregiver fatigue.
