Brazos Valley Mental Health and Wellness is dedicated both to the physical safety as well as the mental well-being of our clients in this difficult situation. To maximize access to vital mental health services during this time, we are offering in-person sessions at our offices following all health guidelines as well as, in some situations, telehealth sessions.
If you are a new client, your initial intake session with us must take place in an in-person setting. Your therapist will get to know you and your unique situation and will determine how you can best be supported moving forward. For some individuals, your therapist may determine that in-person sessions will be necessary to ensure effective treatment, while for others, telehealth sessions may be an option for those who would prefer to not come to the office.
If you elect to use telehealth sessions, be aware that different insurance providers are constantly re-evaluating the current situation and what services they are choosing to cover, so your policy may not pay for telehealth sessions. In some cases, telehealth sessions may not be covered even when in-person sessions are, so please contact your insurance provider regularly to understand your options and be aware that coverage of telehealth may change or be removed by your provider.
Even though telehealth means you do not have to physically come to our office for sessions, we do require that our clients reside in Texas while they are receiving therapy from us as our therapists are only licensed by the State of Texas.
