If you are seeking understanding, validation, encouragement, and guidance though lives stressors, I would like to be the first welcome you to this place of healing. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervisory of Roberta Sheffield. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and master’s in Clinical and Mental Health counselling from Stephen F Austin State University. Though my 5 years of clinical experience, I have discovered that the best approach to anyone seeking healing is to meet them where they are. My goal is to offer a safe, interactive, nonjudgement environment to process emotions, trauma, and everyday stressors so that my client can understand themselves and learn new skills that they can take with them after each session.
My personal approach to therapy is a person centered, choice-based approach to therapy. Meaning that I want my clients to feel they are the captains of their own ship and that they can feel supported and validated in their choices. My job is to facilitate a place for personal growth and to provide tools in your toolbox to use in times of stress. I also highly encourage my client to feel that they are also free to express themselves (I have plenty of arts and crafts if you wish to use them in session)!
I have experience working in crisis intervention. I am also very passionate in working with clients with Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Trauma focus, adjustment issues, body issues and exploring self-worth. I work with children 7 years old and up and adults 18 and up.
